Hi. Has anyone tried to prevent/reduce neuropathy by using cold packs. My son was given an ice lolly to suck during cisplatin chemo to reduce blood flow to mouth and possible subsequent mouth sores. Others with him had cold caps to reduce blood flow to scalp to avoid hair loss. Has anyone tried using ice packs or First Aid style cold packs on their hands and feet to prevent neuropathy. I have read that some American hospitals have chilled "boots" and "gloves" for patients to wear during chemo.
Hi Ma78
I didn't use cold packs on my hands and feet when I had chemotherapy and, thankfully, didn't suffer from neuropathy.
