Does anyone know whether improving the microbiome can increase the effectiveness of chemo, and/or improve cancer outcome generally?

I have no idea about this but I was told by my consultant not to take any supplements without first talking with him as some supplements can have a negative effect in the effectiveness of some chemos and on your general health due to interactions with various meds that we often have to take.
