I had womb cancer that has spread into my groin. Had first round of chemo couple of weeks ago. I am on Carboplatin, Etoposide and Bleomycin. Not been to bad this time, bit of sickness and off food for a couple of days. Also had to have blood transfusion due to haemoglobin levels, then temperature spike so on antibiotics. Now have pain in my ribs which could be due to the way I was hunched over with walking stick in front of me and not standing straight with it to one side. Did each round of chemo get worse because at 68 (previously fit and well for my age) my Consultant is worried I might not cope.
Hi Jkg
I didn't have the same type of chemotherapy as you, as I was being treated for a different type of cancer, but I didn't find that the side effects got worse each time. In fact, my side effects were so predictable that it meant I knew when I would be having good days so I would take the opportunity to get out and about.
You might also want to post this in the womb cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who are on the same regime as you. If you want to do this, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there.
