Hi
Has anyone else suffered from a sore stomach after chemo? Had my third session a couple of weeks ago and been fine until I had a sneaky glass of red wine and a spaghetti Bolognese made from Quorn mince.
Discomfort comes and goes. Been using gaviscon and hot water bottle. Able to carry on normally but sore.
Should I mention to my medical team? Is there any remedy?
Many thanks
Sue
Hi suze99 sorry to hear this....... Chemotherapy can unfortunately strip away the lining of the stomach so these problems can come along. I was given various oral meds to help reduce these problems so yes, talk this through with your clinical team.
Thank you for your reply. Will speak to them tomorrow
Sue
I have been suffering with the same for a couple of months, I was prescribed ColoPep Peppermint Oil capsules and they have really helped.
