Husband hasn't eaten for the past 6 days following session 2 of chemo. Is this normal?
Hi Tyra sorry to hear about your husband can happen but loss of appetite and not eating can be two separate things.
For three months following my last treatment (this did include some radiotherapy) I had no appetite but my team told my wife that not having an appetite was not a reason not to get fuel into my body…… I could not taste food so did not enjoy it but I had to get fuel into my body.
Although some radiotherapy treatment area can have a significant effect on a person actual ‘ability’ to eat.
It would helpful for you to talk with others who have the same treatment but you don’t say what type of cancer your husband had but if you care to have a look through THIS LIST you will find all our many dedicated cancer support groups listed.
Why not post in the group for his cancer.
