Sore mouth following first chemo

Yes I did, throughout chemo. If you are able to contact your team they can prescribe you a special mouthwash which really helps. I am sorry but I can not remember the name but it is commonly given. I found it really helped.

Thank you they have suggested Diflam 

Rinsing your mouth with a weak saline or bicarb solution frequently helps a lot more than you would think.  If it's sore enough to interfere with eating, then they will often prescribe a mouthwash which contains xylocaine.

Thanks yes I’ve tried salt water and that seems to be soothing and then I did ice during chemo yesterday so let’s see if that helps 

I had that prescribed right from start of my chemo. Three times a day after food. I also had anti thrush medication to take about halfway through my cycle
