Hi. How long should it be before my bowels return to normal. I had constipation throughout my seven cycles of chemo but thought once I had finished things would return to normal. But they haven't. How long after.chemonshould I continue taking laxatives.
I am also finding I get pain particularly when eating bread. What do people take to ease this
Hi F1 petrolhead this is a general chemotherapy discussion group so you may get some helpful reply’s but as each type of chemo can have different effects it would be worth also posting in the Breast cancer group where you can ask your question specifically to people who have had the same treatment.
I had a significant amount of chemo (800 hrs) over my treatment (blood cancer) and I found that the chemo stripped the lining of my stomach and bowel…… this took a good few years until it returned to normal but as I said each chemo can be ever so different.
