Hi I'm on my 2nd course of chemotherapy out of 4 & was wondering about hair loss as this is ment to happen from about this course wk. I have 1day of chemo drip then 14 days of tablets. When I was in the hospital I was talking to a lady who had lost her hair & it was just starting to grow back. She said she was using a thickening shampoo but I can't remember the name of it. Does anyone know of it or use any other product that helps.
Luckily I have quite thick hair and already keep it in a short style so fingers crossed.

Hi Zuri I see it's your first post so a warm welcome to the Online Community but so sorry to hear about your diagnoses.
The question about hair loss and regrowth can be ever so different across cancer types and the specific treatments used and even 2 people with the same cancer on the same treatment can have a different experience.......so taking with people who have or are navigating the 'exact same journey' would help you a lot.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated support groups (discussion rooms) but you don’t say what type of cancer you have but if you care to have a look through THIS LIST you will find all our many dedicated cancer support groups listed.
These groups are safe places to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Red (Bold) Group Link I have created above, once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go. You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
