Hi all

First time poster here. Sending lots of love to everyone.

I want to put a care type package together for a family member who will be under going chemotherapy soon. I am unsure of what type of chemotherapy it is, but would love to know what helped you or anyone you may know who has experienced this treatment, make it a tiny bit easier?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community although I am sorry to hear about your family members diagnosis.

A cancer diagnosis in the family can be such a stressful and challenging time but it's good that you are looking to support her/him.

To help you get some specific replies you may want to say if they are female or male as this throws up different answers.

I see you have also joined the Pancreatic cancer group. Could I suggest you put up your post there as well as there may well be cancer type related things that a general group like this may not highlight.

You may also find this link helpful as it gives you an understanding as to the treatments Chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer

    All the very best.

  • Hi having just started chemotherapy I welcome more practical gifts and pampering treats. As I'm tired all the time, anything like prepared snacks, drinks sachets, bitesize treats are lovely and someone got me some lovely rich handcream and an eye mask, which is a simple way to relax. My Auntie who has also been through this got me some practical things to take to my chemo sessions: box of tissues, wipes, antibac gel, a battery operated handheld fan and a face mist as it's so warm having to wear a face mask all day. Hope this helps
