Hi all just come through a mastectomy and now going to see the oncologist next week to discuss the chemotherapy plan im quite scared about it but I know it's got to be done any suggestions to get me through it would be appreciated I don't know how many runs I've got to have the nursesaid every two weeks?
Thanks
Hi MRW, you may want to post this in the Breast cancer group as the chemos used across the different cancer types are actually very different.
I had over 750 hrs of very strong chemo over my 6 cycles spread over every 3 weeks for my rare blood cancer and actually did ok with it all - all the very best.
I'm about to have my 2nd chemo EC next week after my masectomy in May.
I had a bad reaction to my first one so hopefully next one won't be as bad as in they can give me something for my side effects.
I have 7 rounds every 21 days First four are EC Then 3 rounds of Red Devil.
Good luck we can do this
Hi MRW. It’s very scary, I know. I’m a complete wuss and just been through my first session. I would recommend getting as much help on standby as possible. Also, plan to be kind to yourself. Rest, food available, phone numbers nearby etc. everyone’s reactions are different. I truly wish you well.
