Having my Picc line fitted before chemo 2.
Anyone else got picc lines fitted any tips ?

Looks like it's just me. It's like a surgical scrub to help prevent infection. Hope it doesn't react with my sensitive skin.
Just had mine fitted this morning AJM All went okay, pretty straight forward, took about an hour and they gave me lots of info on how to look after it. Feels a bit weird having this thing in my arm, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I think it will make things easier for us as they won't have to put a canula in every time for chemo now and they can use the PICC for our blood tests too, so no bad thing really.
Hello VJS1985 I felt exactly the same, but having had this thing in my arm for a couple of months now, you do get used to it. It's funny what you adapt to! It's not half as bad as you think it's going to be, in fact, now with the value of hindsight I can honestly say it doesn't bother me at all now. Don't get me wrong I can't wait until I can have a soak in the bath with both arms in the water!
