Good Afternoon everyone

In March 2020 I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Large B Cell Lymphoma and started 4 months of R Cop Chemo. I also had to have 2 doses of High dose Methatrexate in between the R Chop. My last treatment was in September 2020. Everything went well and I am now in remission and have been working full time since January 2021. I thought I would join this group to see if anyone else has been through this. I am now suffering from severe tiredness. I manage to get through work ok but by the end of the week I am completely shattered. My body aches and is tired but also my brain feels exhausted. I have tried meeting friends on a Friday evening like I used to but I really struggled to join in conversations and enjoy the evening. I just mentally feel tired and I’m struggling to fit in with friends and the social things I used to do . I am so tired I can’t even follow conversations and just seem to stare at people. I have spoken the my consultant about feeling tired and and aching , and to be honest he just brushed over it and said it should be getting better by now. I feel so happy and lucky to have got through the Cancer but now feel that I am not the person I was before which has been getting me down a bit lately

  • Hi  I just happened to come across you post so first a warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your Lymphoma diagnosis.

I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our Lymphoma groups. I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare incurable Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so have been on this journey rather a long time so know it very well.

This group is a general Chemo group covering every cancer but blood cancers are rather unique so you would be better joining our dedicated Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Group where you will connect directly with people who have walked this walk.

If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green link I have created above. Then once the page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."

You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go.

You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post and as always you can reply to existing ‘Discussions’ by click [reply].

I will keep an eye open for you in the DLBCL group.

    Mike (Thehighlander)
