Cleanliness. Keep your personal hygiene in good order, wash or use sanitizer to keep the germs away..
Help. Does your your nearest and dearest know what to do it you feel unwell who to contact.
Emergency Numbers. Do you or your carer have the Emergency Numbers in case something happens.
Medication. Do you have all your prescribed medication to just in case you need it.
Observation. Get them, or take your own temperature if you feel hot or cold and monitor it. Drink plenty of fluids. If needed.
These. things will help/assist you through the Chemo treatment.
Have. You got your transport sorted, to get you there on time.
Explain. to medical staff if you have any questions, they are all very helpful.
Reading. material, take a book or magazines to help pass the time while your having your chemo session.
Allow. yourself to try and relax, while your there, chat to others, have some refreshment.
Please. don't be scared, I know it's difficult, but talk to the staff of you feel anxious about anything.
You. Will feel more relaxed, at the next session. You have done very well.

If you add to your recent message in the Prostate Group the names of the specific chemo drugs regime you will be having any other members will reply giving thier experiences as they all have their little differences re side effects.
You can also check out the Mac Chemo Drugs A-Z List clicking here. Don't be put off by the huge list of side effects (they have to list them all) most only suffer from a couple of the more common ones.
You can usually find other meds info like steroids etc by using the Information & Support button at the top of the page and doing a search.
