I've started FOLFOX Chemo today (Stage 4 Bowel Cancer metastisis to Lungs, Liver and Bones) and on arriving home I've developed a head cold.
I don't want to phone the Triage line as I generally feel well otherwise. I'm guessing it's a culmunation of being in an air conditioned building all day and then moved outside where it'was quite hot today.
Is this normal though, have other people had colds right after treatment? Obviously I'm concerned due to White blood cells but asit's my first Chemo session, was wondering if it's normal?
Hi and a warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well after you've started chemotherapy. Hopefully, you've used the phone number you were given to report side effects and your team know what's happening. If not then I'd suggest that you do that now as this information about FOLFOX advises you to do this if you feel unwell after having treatment.
