Hello. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in February and had a glosectomy and gland removal in March. He has recovered really well but refused radiotherapy because of the side effects long term and his age -79. I am totally ok with this but it means he will be closely monitored indefinitely. Every 8 weeks will be an appointment. So we get on with life but its always gently in the back of my head that things could change. I am younger, still working and have looked after him on and off for the last 3 years as he had 2 other major illnesses. I have managed really well and thought I was taking it in my stride but now find myself exhausted at times, less tolerant generally and sometimes flat. Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences. Anyone been for counselling for similar?
