Hi everyone,
I’m new here. My mum has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully the cancer has been removed with clear margins which I’m so grateful for. However, she now needs to undergo chemotherapy and I’m preparing for the next stage of her journey.
im looking for advice from anyone who has been through something similar, either personally or alongside a loved one. I want to do everything I can to support my mum both physically and emotionally throughout her treatment but I’m concious I might not always know the best things to do or say.
id love to hear from others about what helped them most during chemotherapy, what practical things made day to day life a little easier and how family members can offer support without being overwhelming. I’m also interested in how to best be there on her difficult days, when she’s tired or feeling low.
i know everyone’s experience is different, but hearing from people that understand what this journey can be like would mean a lot to me. I want my mum to feel loved, supported and understood and also that she’s not alone.
thank you for taking the time to read my post. Any advice, personal experiences or words of wisdom would be very much appreciated ♥️
