My husband has terminal bowel cancer and secondary lung cancer and he has a stoma. He was given a prognosis which gave him until December 2024 to live. He is currently in hospital. The local Hospice has asked for an assessment for both of us, I am his wife and primary carer.
The last week he had messed his bed, his stoma bag emptied on the bedroom carpet. He has also interrupted my son while he was at work. Phoned me and forgotten he had done so. He can't comprehend what is being said to him. He is hard of hearing, but this doesn't explain, his lack of comprehending conversation. He is constantly tired.
Has anyone else been in a similar position
