Hi, I’ve just joined this forum as I’m struggling to do the right thing supporting my partner.
The biggest problem in my partner was in denial from the outset which was 10 months ago.
its been a long journey for him with lung/trachea cancer.
chemo put him in hospital twice the latter with neutropenia Sepss.
After 3 months recover he has just has radiotherapy for 14 consecutive days.
We have been together for 10 years and bless him a stubborn character by nature.
He has not read any of his medical notes so I have paved the way very tentatively through each step,I have a health log from day 1 as I felt I had to take control of the situation as he was burying his head in the sand.
He is stubborn by nature and has become very argumentative which I as I understand is to be expected.
i wonder are there any carers who can share similar experiences aa I’m doing the very best I can with little family support.
looking forward to hearing from people in the same situation as I will reach out to any source that will help us.
