Having a terrible time

I’ve just had a lovely response from AgathaM  to a message I posted last night. I replied to her asking this question. I just wondered if there was anybody else out there who understands what I’m going through. My partner’s chemo and radiotherapy 15 day course ended last Tuesday. He was really well all the way through it and apart from a few hiccups when he was on steroids, he’s been fine. My problem is I feel to have gone backwards emotionally. I feel really really unwell, can’t stop crying. I’ve just been diagnosed with gastroenteritis which is neither here nor there and the irony is that my partner is eating really well, exercising going for walks and being generally very very positive. I can’t eat anything without throwing up! Apart from the very beginning when he was first diagnosed, I’ve been able to cope but as I’m typing this I’ve just got tears on falling down my face. I work part time but I wonder whether the best thing would be for me to resign as I feel like I’ve been a bit of a drain. My manager and colleagues have been wonderful, it’s just that I don’t feel I should be going in to work feeling like I do.-  It doesn’t seem fair on them. This forum is my support. apart from my wonderful colleagues. I feel I should be stronger. .
