Am I being unreasonable?

Hi all, my Mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer. She's been recieving chemotherapy every three weeks, which I've been taking her too. I also take her to the hospital for her blood tests two days before the treatment, and then in between visiting in the week to clean and do jobs etc. I've a job, which they are getting testy about the time off, and a young child so I need to be around for the school run etc.

Am I being unreasonable to ask that a friend take her to a blood test or drop off for treatment? I'm really struggling to fit in everything and I'm beginning to burnout (I was already on the edge before she went into renal failure).

She doesn't want at all to participate in her own recovery or her own life, or do anything really. And talking and asking directly really doesn't effect anything. I have tried. And now I feel like an awful person if I don't show up all the time. She is perfectly capable of doing all the jobs herself, I regularly get messages saying all the gardening she's done, and all the trips out she's had with friends. And I'm beginning to feel taken advantage of. I'd like to spend the time making memories but there just doesn't seem to be time left for that with all the admin.

Thanks for listening x
