Anyone with a 16year old diagnosed during GCSEs and losing their dreams of all their summer plans and expeditions and start of college???

Our son was just a little bit older when he was diagnosed with a craniopharyngioma, in some ways helpful since it finally explained how unwell he had been for some time. He was supposed to be doing some exams for college when he went in for some brain surgery. The college was helpful in that they put him in for consideration for "special circumstances" and so he was awarded based on his course work - not so disimlar to his GCSE's though at that was during covid.
Michael was then referred for proton beam therapy and we ended up spending 5.5 weeks in London so not quite the summer plans we might have thought.
