Don't know where to turn

This morning started off as any normal day, until I got to the friend I care for. I couldn't get in to his as he had left his key in the door on the otherside. I phoned multiple times, with no answers. This then caused panic as I didnt know where to turn. There were builders working next door, who saw me and heard how distressed I was. They also tried to get the guy I care for by knocking on the window but no response them. They then helped my get in by poking the key out of the lock so I could unlock the door. When I got in and after searching for the friend I care for, I found him on the floor at the end of his bed, wedged between a unit and the wall. He was naked apart from socks. I managed to get him up and into the other room so I could sort his catheter bag out as he had somehow split the leg bag. I changed this to a night bag and got him dressed so I could go home to get a new leg bag. Once I got him in the other room, it became more and more apparent that he was confused. I also found that he seemed to have taken a mixture of his tablets from last night and this morning. I managed to get him sorted with a drink and something to eat and I went to work. Tonight he seemed less confused and trying to work out what had happened. Ive only left his nighttime tablets for tonight to hopefully prevent him double dosing again and I will give his morning ones when I go there in the morning.

Im sorry for the essay, I just didnt know where else to turn

  •  I just wanted to say thank you to those who reached out to me via my other post. The friend I care for has been better over the past 2 days and has been telling me about the things that he thinks he was doing during his episode of confusion. Following advice from medical professionals that I work with, all meds have been removed and I only give him the ones hes due when hes due to take them. I then leave the ones for overnight that he will need ahead of me visiting the next morning. I took him shopping this morning at his request and made sure he was getting the things that he needed. I then dropped him off and then I took the bags in for him once I had parked the car.
