Very early in my brother's cancer journey, looking for any tips on how best to support him along the way, while I'm trying to do all I can there must be something else I can do, what have you found to be the most important part of support?
Hi Wee Brother
Welcome to our community I hope you find it both information and supportive.
I think many would say the most important part of support can be listening, I know in order to do this as well as I could then the first thing I really needed was to deal with my own emotions. Quite a tricky element in the early cancer journey can be waiting for results.
Sometimes people fear that if they reveal a diagnosis they will be treated very differently and so do not want to be seen as "the cancer patient". Doing things together that you like can be really helpful.
