My husband was diagnosed last October and everyone was hopeful that it could be treated. Unfortunately 6 weeks ago we were told he has about 12 months. I'm trying to be positive and happy for him and my children but inside I'm broken. I spend a lot of my time when I'm on my own crying.
Hi Louise2404
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
Sorry to hear about your husband, what type of cancer does he have? When my wife was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma she was clear she never wanted a prognosis (how long). I struggled with that as we had a young son but then that was over 10 years ago now.
Something I find quite helpful is looking at your feelings when someone has cancer as being able to recognize the emotions and accept them as valid can help to make them feel less overwhelming.
How old are your children? You might be interested in talking to children and teenagers.
