Hi
Has anyone had any experience with the migration from ESA to Universal Credit?
My terminal ill partner received ESA but was advised in December that it was changing to Universal Credit. Because we live together we had to do a joint claim. I work full-time so I can pay for all the house bills etc so my partner could spend his money on what he wanted.
As I earn over the allowance we have been told that we are not entitled to any payment.
When I have checked online there is conflicting information as to whether ESA is paid alongside Universal Credit.
If you call the helpline on 0808 808 0000 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday you should be able to speak to one of the money advisors who should be able to help you understand what might be available to you.
<<hugs>>
Steve
