We've just got back from the hospital my husbands cancer has now spread to his liver and he's refusing anymore treatment and doesn't even want to tell anyone! I'm hoping once the news settles in he will change his mind how can I keep this news to myself? I feel so numb it just isn't fair! He was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer with lung mets in August 2022 at the age of 40 we have 3 beautiful kids together I'm not ready to loose him I don't wanna raise our children without him why is life so unfair
Hi GemD84
Sorry to read about your husband, sometimes of course it does take some time to process our own emotions before we can face anyone else. I do wonder if your husband is worried that others might try to challenge his decision.
Of course as carers we often find we need support too and sometimes that can feel harder to find. We do have some really helpful information in Coping with anticipatory grief when you're supporting someone living with cancer that might be helpful and I managed to find a course on living with less stress that was really helpful.
<<hugs>>
Steve
