I feel awful posting this but I feel overwhelmed and don't know how or if I can keep going like this. My husband has terminal cancer mouth and neck primary. He was in hospital for 9days which was awful. He finally came home 5days ago today. He is a different person . He can hardly speak , he is sleeping all day. I feel useless. Last night thigs took a horrible turn He tried to go to bathroom after being very sick in day vomiting up meds me calling acute for advice. He sat on the floor and I knew he needed an ambulance. They came and were wonderful but he did not want to go to hospital so they settled him gave him some meds and organised oxygen. I was up until midnight talking to gp and hospital as they had sent wrong info about levels with oxygen. I am not medically trained. I eventually went sleep but was awken at 7am with my husband very confused and not really able to communicate. How do I keep going. I love him unconditionally but feel useless and alone.

So sorry to read about what you are going through and your love really stands out in your message.
You are so right that you are not medically trained but you are far from useless - you have shown than in the above and of course it does not help when who get the wrong information.
Are you in touch with anything like a hospice at home service - they can be really great in supporting you to make the best of this time.
If can help to speak to your GP about the impact on you - because making ourselves ill really helps nobody and it is really very easy to do - if we look at Looking after someone with cancer we can see how very common these feelings are. Many carers come to realise they need to become perhaps a little bit selfish sometimes to recharge our batteries.
So glad you came here and shared because there will be many in your situation.
