My partned was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis which we now have been told was caused by bile duct cancer. He has list so much weight and can't eat but they just tell him to eat little and often. He has a drain in also with the pancreatitis so chemo can't begin until that is removed. I always feel that no one is doing enough to help his nutrition. It's soul destroying to watch him and i do get very stressed when he doesn't eat i feel so guilty. The stress is getting to me as neither his or my family help and it seems so difficult to get mcmillan  or to know where to go. I sometimes feel they are just  leaving him to die. He is only 56 and i am at my wits end the loneliness is crippling. I would appreciate any advice on nutrition or any home help avenues i could explore.

Many Thanks

  • My husband has lung cancer and we were told how important his diet was.  We were told we could be put in touch with a nutritionist if we needed any advice or support.  Is there a Macmillan nurse that you could ask about this for you both?

  • Hi Kabrien welcome to the forum. If you feel able to do this, then I would suggest that you pick up the phone and call the MacMillan Helpline and have  a chat with them there, as I feel sure that they may be able to offer some help or advice for you. 08088080000.xxx
