Hello, Folfox tore me apart with extreme side effects and grew my cancer, Irenitocan shrank some of my liver nets but others sprang up elsewhere, so I am left having to decide whether or not to do a third line of treatment: Lonsurf. Having been denied other effective treatments that are too expensive for the NHS, I am feeling a little bitter as I wouldn’t be in this situation if I’d received them - basically facing hospice care if Lonsurf fails. Like all of us, I’m sure, I hate going to hospital, I hate the feeling of being poisoned and I hate the fact that ultimately there is no knowing whether chemo will work or not. I know the limitations of Lonsurf so I don’t need to hear those, please. I just wondered if anyone out there has had a positive experience of it?

I know from experience having been on my cancer journey now coming up to 26 years with two very rare, hard to treat types of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphomas (one incurable) that navigating this journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but talking with and getting support from people who have walked or are walking the ‘exact same' journey can help a lot.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend that you look to join and put up your own post in our dedicated……..
Bowel (colon and rectum) cancer
…….. support group. This group is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
