Hi,
I have just had a lumpectomy plus several nymph nodes removed. The consultant plans to see me in 2 weeks time. Do I need to wait this long before changing the dressings, the one around my breast is fine but the one under my arm looks like it could do with a change of plaster. Also what do women use to clean the area, I have been using baby wipes and wondering if this is ok.

Hi Jax64 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
When I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy my dressings were checked and changed by a nurse at the breast clinic.
You might also want to post this question in the breast cancer group, which I can see you've joined, as you'll then connect directly with others who have had the same operations as you.
