I had surgery last week and im awaiting the results from the biopsy. It's not the results that concerns me it's the waiting to know what happens next. I was fit and healthy, hard working and active. Now im an old fart with heart disease and cancer and it's getting me down.  If anyone out there is in the same boat please comment.

  • Hello

A warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although I am so sorry to find you joining us. I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan (and yes I've been called an "old fart" too!!).

The Community is divided up into cancer specific groups and I would advise you to join the bladder cancer group - and here's the link you need:-

    Bladder cancer forum

Just click on the link I have provided and once the page opens up click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Once you have joined the group you can introduce yourself in the "New Here - Say Hello" section. You could copy and paste your original post or post something new - I can assure you of a warm welcome there.

Once you get there you will find many group members have shared their personal journey and if you click on their user name or avatar you can read this (as you can with mine).

If you need any further help in navigating the community - please do let me know.

    Best wishes - Brian.
