Ribociclib

I have hormone postive HER2 negative primary BC that had spread to my lymph glands and it high risk for coming back.  I was 43 at age of diagnosis.  I've had surgery, ECT chemo and 4 weeks radiotherapy.  I'm now on zoladex, exemestane and on my 4th cycle of Ribociclib.  Before cancer I was highly active walking, cycling and running.  Now I'm really struggling with fatigue and it's impacting my mood and quality of life.   It's worse since starting the Ribociclib.  I'm wondering if anyone is taking this and if the side effects improve as I'm seriously starting to wonder if it's worth it.  If my mum hadn't have died of secondary BC then I wouldn't carry on but I am scared about the risk of recurrence.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I just wanted to pop on to suggest that you also join post and this in the breast cancer group. You'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you and have had this treatment.

If this is something that you'd like to do, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
