Has anyone else needed to take a break from Cabozantinib due to side-effects? As I've said many times in these forums, it gives me terrible diarrhoea. I stopped it 2 days ago as I can't bare it any more. Even today after 2 days without the meds, I've had terrible diarrhoea. Imodium doesn't seem to stop it. Whether it makes it less bad or not, there's no way to know.
I've got a call coming Monday, a monthly thing where they ask questions about my blood pressure and side-effects then issue me more of the stuff. I always tell them the same thing about the diarrhoea and they always give the same response - Basically nothing I haven't been told a thousand times before. There doesn't seem to be anything more they can do.
I don't want to take it any more. Life is tough enough anyway but the Cabozantinib is just adding to the misery. Part of me doesn't even care if that's it for me. This is no life anyway. Can you be cancer free without it? I don't know.
Geoff.
Hi BeefyMoo I have not had this drug so can’t help you. Let’s look first anyone with experience to come along.
I would suggest that you also put the same post up in the Kidney cancer group that I see you have been active on as this may widen your base for replys.
