Hiya just looking for a bit of reassurance or any advice or anything that may help,

my dad had a brain tumour removed just over a week ago.

he has spells of confusion, then you can have a totally normal conversation with him.

while he was in the hospital waiting for his operation he was convinced my mom had been having an affair, this is 100% not true I know for a fact. Now he’s been back home 2 days it’s already popped up and caused damage.

I’ve tried to keep him calm and try and get him to explain what makes him think these things but he says he can’t tell me, but he knows it’s going on.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your dad has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and it must be a difficult time for you all.

As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join and post in the brain cancer group, as this will give you the chance to connect with others who have this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your dad's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
