Went to see radiotherapy consultant yesterday. All the side effects seemed insurmountable. My partner is 67 and has had 3 cycles of chemo for his non Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and had the lump removed in august prior to chemo. he doesn’t want to risk radiotherapy. Any experiences with the same thing?
Hi Mybow
I had my radiotherapy planning meeting this week for a different type of cancer and, probably just like your husband, the nurse/consultant has to tell you about all the possible side effects that might affect you. However, it doesn't mean your husband will get all or even some of them.
You would be best posting this in the non-Hodgkin lymphoma group, which I can see you've joined, as then you'll connect directly with others who will have had the same type of radiotherapy that is being proposed for your husband.
Wishing you both all the best
