Hi guys,
Hope you’re all keep well, my mum was diagnosed with breast and long bone cancer at the end of last year. She is currently in the early weeks of her second attempt of treatment. Which is chemo tablets taken each day at home and she has injections at the hospital once a month. Along with this she takes prescribed calcium tablets twice a day. These make her feel queasy and uneasy for awhile after taking the tablet. She wanted me to ask if you have any recommendations of something she could drink or eat after taking the tablets to help with the queasy-ness?
many thanks & keep smiling :)
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that your mum is feeling sick on her current treatment. Has she mentioned this to her CNS as I believe that there are lots of anti sickness medications available?
I'm not sure from what you've posted if your mum has two separate cancers or if the bone cancer is a secondary from her breast cancer. If it's secondary breast cancer that your mum has, can I recommend that you join the Secondary breast cancer forum group and post your question there as well and I'm sure you'll get lots of people sharing their experiences with you. If I've got the cancer type wrong then please let me know and I'll give you a link to the right one.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting '+New' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
