Hi there,
I was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma from a actinic keratosis that I have on my nipple (unusual place to have one apparently) I was told I would be referred to a dermatologist to discuss about treatment but I am not sure what treatment is suitable for this area. I was just wondering if anyone knew what type of treatment they normally give for SCC'S in sensitive areas so I can mentally prepare. Due to Covid-19 I haven't heard from my hospital about when I will be getting treatment and there is mixed info online.
Thanks
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with a SCC and it's a good idea to reach out to others who have first hand experience of treatment.
Could I suggest that you also post this question in the skin cancer group, which I can see that you've joined, as there are definitely people there who have had treatment for SCC. If you're not sure how to get back to the group, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there.
