Have you had to pay for this test yourself? The test I understand costs £1950. The test screens for all mutations of your tumour. And claims a 70-80% chance of finding a match for effective targeted treatments. I would love to hear from you if you have had the test and responded to the treatments recommended by the test.

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I have not had this test myself but noticed that your post had gone unanswered. I used the search facility in this group to see if I could find any previous posts discussing this and found this one that might be of interest to you.

You might get a response if you post the question in the group that covers the type of cancer that you have as I've noticed it being discussed elsewhere. You can search for the relevant group by clicking on 'Groups' at the top of this page, then choose 'cancer types' under the categories heading, which will bring up a list.

When you have identified the right group for you choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then post your question by selecting 'start a discussion'.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • hi JuJU yes I've paid myself for oenological test, it was thorough and very detailed but basically even though it made a few suggestions they are very similar to what ive been offered by by my oncologist. so Ifor me and my genes it hasn't been worth the money.
