hi
ive got a sarcoma and had surgery to remove it from my foot. unfortunately it has invaded my blood vessels so it looks like a below knee amputation is required. \I live alone and wonder how i will manage and how long the rehab will take. Im fearful of what life will be like afterwards and also if it will all be in vain as spead has already occurred (though CT was negative)
Anyone out there got any experience to share?
many thanks
Hi cxbyr and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I don't have the experience with the surgery you might be having I wanted to pop on and suggest that you also post this in the soft tissue sarcoma group, which I can see you've joined, as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
