Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Oh, it sounds as if you did what daughter and I used to do, go to big stores to try on the biggest, fanciest, stupidest hats we could find and them try to keep a straight face, but burst out in giggles when anyone's back was turned!

Hahahahah, just thinking about it makes me laugh even  now!

    hugs xxx

Afternoon all. I had the nurse here this morning helping me dialyse. I normally dialyse at home but now followingbthe op needed a bit of help. Everything went well so I am really pleased. One step at a time. There is a nurse coming on Thursday as well then we are on our own from the weekend.

I really must arrange a trip to the horses, probably York or Doncaster from here. I really like wearing hats, maybe I could get a WI trip to ladies day.

Good afternoon Gillian,am pleased to hear things are going well for you

Better be on your best behaviour on ladies day with the WI,our local group used to be very snooty & as i'm a bit of a giggler at times i was frowned upon on some of the train trips i went on with them when my mum belonged,we had a lovely day in the lake district & when we went for lunch in a rather posh hotel i was told to behave before we went in

I'm presuming that with Doncaster & York being your local race tracks you're a Yorkshire girl, can't remember where we went but no doubt it will come to me later

    xx

Gillian, great to hear that you are doing well, I assume you had some giggles with your goggles today lol. Xx

Carol, I was like you about hats but getting much more into them now I'm a baldy, I have bought two floppy straw hats for summer which I would never have done pre cancer!

Hope everyone has had some sunshine today, I've done loads of gardening and had lunch with a friend. Best go get the shopping now or there will be no tea tonight. Any requests whilst I'm there?

How nice,i love flowers,i guess my local WI were just a load of snooty old biddies that had forgotten how to have fun

We have had a beautiful day here today but it didn't make me feel like going out in the garden,i guess i'm still lazy after my holiday, him indoors has gone out mowing lawns & as i have no idea when he'll be back tea tonight is a whatever's in the fridge omelette

It was Market Raisen we went to Gillian (pretty sure spelling's wrong on that) it's our nearest one & both times we had a great time, even though we were freezing cold at the boxing day meeting

If i'm not too late Jakki some jaffa cakes would be nice please

    xx

No problem ladies, got Jaffa Cakes enjoy. Are they a cake or a biscuit, where do you stand on the debate? I think cake as they go hard if you put them in the biscuit tin.

They are a cake as defined for Vat purpouses. No Vat on chocolate cake but there is on choc biscuits. So it /s in all oyr interests that they are cakes.
