Hi Jakki, just home from my makeover & our afternoon tea,not at the Ritz i must add,it was lovely,i feel very spoilt & loved today, hope the weather stays like we've had it here for you at the weekend,i will be at work tomorrow & Sunday but we're off together on Monday so hopefully weather will be nice enough to go to a steam raley not far from where we live

Somebody came to look at the cat last night & it's not theirs so she is now Molly & has a bed & is being fed by all in our corner of the estate, lady two doors up is going to take her on Monday to see if she's chipped if nobody has claimed her,if she's not chipped we've decided we'll carry on looking after her between us

The sweetie shop at our outlet is now open, had a look round today & they have everything you could imagine so if you want to put your order in folks i'll nip in on my way home from work tomorrow

    Love & hugs to all

    Hi Gillian

Pleased to here you are home safe and sound.

i have just made a birthday cake for my daughter far to big for the family so help yourself to a slice it has pink butter icing and strawberry jam inside xxx

  • So good to hear from you, Gillian, and know you are home. Sounds as if you gave them some work to keep them on their toes! Now rest up and allow your body to heal......and eat cake! There's still a little left from the one I brought home from the Ritz.....

a long day today, left home just before 9, off to the station, train to Manchester, taxi to the Bridgewater Hall for a lunchtime concert.......our lass got almost mobbed afterwards, and sold a good few CD's. Then tram back to the station and a wait for a train home. I was worried about hubs, he walked a long way for him, and also had to sit still too long, as well. But he just about coped. He has arthritis in his whole spine, which is quite bad, has two new hips too. It was tough caring for daughter as well as him, especially as they were 150 miles apart at times! (No wonder my hair is almost white!)

Also there is a wonderful article about daughter in the International Trombone Association's magazine (not that any of you subscribe, lol!) . I am so proud of my family!

Take care, all, and have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. We will be at Bletchley Park as usual tomorrow, then as we are short staffed, hubs will do Sunday while I knuckle down to the cleaning here! Such a joyful holiday! Hehe!

    Hugs xxx

I have just read the article you refer to Moomy. No wonder you are proud of your girl, she sounds inspirational.  You are rightly proud.

Well i've just had the perfect end to a lovely week, been out for a drink with him indoors & had my first glass of wine for 3 months & it was lovely & i actually enjoyed going out & spoke to people & didn't hide in a corner

Thank you all for your support when i was a pain

Big hugs & lots of love to all

Thank you Gillian,i shall have a look at that,i do hope you're resting & ordering everybody about while you have your feet up,that was the bit i found hard but it comes very easy now & if anybody else wants to do it i'm quite happy to let them

Thank you so much Moomy & i know if you had hugged me there would have been much sobbing at that time, but all is well now & we take each day as it comes, hope for the best but if we get the worst so bi it,we will cope & i know i have all you lovely people to come to to have a weep & get a hug

Back to work today wasn't particularly looking forward to it but when i got there i had some brilliant news, the person that has made my life hell for the last year is leaving, hurrah & even better i only have one day left to work with her, hurrah,i shouldn't be like that really but she's stabbed me in the back so many times it must look like a dartboard & you just wouldn't believe the number of times she's lied to get herself out of trouble & me in it

Well that's quite enough of her but to celebrate i've brought in a big panatone, some butter & slices of cheddar cheese & a bottle of red,i've uncorked it so it's ready to drink now

Off to read about your daughter ow Moomy

Love & big hugs to all & i hope that whatever you're up to you're having fun

    xx

  • Hi Carol, what lovely news that your bully is leaving! Yay! As for the crying with a hug, if you feel tearful I come with a towel for the shoulder you choose, haha! But I honestly think a hug is wonderfully comforting .....

Im in my onesie after a busy day, sitting with feet up and a glass of white wine.......

do help yourself to the last few slices of birthday cake.......

    hugs xxx
