Brilliant Jakki, cups of tea always fit in with my plans & if there's a chance to meet up & put a face to the name of new friends then all the better, kids are so funny, when my goddaughter was little ( i have 5 godchildren rangeing from 35 to 3) she said "aunty Carol, why are your boobies smaller than mummies" well, how do you answer that one

Hope hubby's soon better Polarbear, him indoors can empathise (think that's the right word) with you on the worrying bit,i only have to be slightly off colour & he's asking if i'm all right,he did however say today that he could tell i'm now feeling better by how much i've eaten!

I think today's one of the best days out we've had Moomy,no agenda just go with the flow

Thanks for puttin the picture in Ian,i have no idea how to use this stupid machine properly,i really do need an idiots guide to pitting photos on my laptop & posting them on here, how are things with you

    xx

Hi Christine, hope you are coping with your busy noisy house and you are looking forward to your trip south soon, hope the sun shines for you, lots going on in Brighton its the Arts Festival so should be lots to see when your there. Hope the meet goes well and you can have lots of laughs as well as the expected tears.

Moomy, The chocolate cake was lovely thank you and I got bubbles up my nose from the pink lemonade, made me giggle, Crib Goch has a very special place in our sons heart and he has done many walks up and down the region, I used to do energetic things in the past, parachuting and parascending & rock climbing, to name a few, but have settled for a much lesser energetic lifestyle now preferring the short walk to a tea room lol.

Jakki, hubby is back to his placid ways again thank goodness, he has never moaned or said why me in all the time he has been ill, and has apart from a few off days and grumpiness, put up with so much, I am very proud of the way he has coped, it is a year since he last worked and I think it is my frustrations that are now showing, hoping our few days away will sort that and we can enjoy our little holiday.

Carol, Tomato soup cake sounds interesting, your day sounded lovely am so pleased you enjoyed it all. 4 yr olds are brilliant, and it does you good to spend sometime with the younger generation, it puts life back in to perspective. Hoping you can have a few restful days to get over it.

Ian, how are you and Den doing? hope you are having some good days to give you a break from the bad ones.

sending you all best wishes for a good day whatever your doing xxx

    Morning all

polarbear,i'm so pleased hubby's getting back to his old self,i love all the little people to bits but for some reason there's a special bond between me & the knicker flasher, she always bypasses everybody to come to nana Carol & will push the big girls out the way to be first to get a kiss, she's such a hoot, everybody laughed when she came trotting along with her plate of food saying coming through & when i ask where she was going to sit she said with you nana & when we're done we can go on the bouncy castle,i gave that a miss but do have lovely little video of her on it

Weather here can't decide what to do & neither can i do,i catch up on my reading or get the hoover & duster out,i know which i'd rather do!!

Hope all are well as can be expected

Are you managing to find somewhere quiet to go Christine when it all gets too noisy & busy in your house, hope the cuddles make up for all the disruption

I've made a brew & a pot of coffee for anybody that's passing through & there's homemade sausage rolls in the fridge

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

Hi all it is a strange day today in Solihull, wet and windy then sunny!

Sister Snail I do have a quiet place to go I have kept my own Lounge and bedroom and my family do respect my privacy thanks. I did wake up today and wonder just how I would manage if I was alone again despite all the extra work. The cuddles and love are amazing both from the little ones and my big Ryan aged 20 who now does the lawn and likes to have meals with me alone!

I am trying to keep busy and have lots of interest in a meet up in Birmingham so I am trying to get my head round that as well. Hopping to talk it through with Admin and get some ideas going.

    love to all xxx

I'm so pleased you have a quiet corner, much as we love our family it's always nice to have a bit of me time & how lovely that Ryan is looking after you so well,it will be quiet when they all go to the new house

Hope you get the meet up sorted & get a fabulous response,i wouldn't know where to start,i'm ok at little coffee mornings or a small cheese & wine do but something big would worry me,i'm thinking about doing a strawberry tea for breast cancer care next month, i have a venue that will seat about 20 people so it will be ticket only but that's as far as i've got

Hope you have a good day

    xx

  • Hello everyone......

really tired but my brain won't stop! So I thought I'd come in and make myself comfy by the window, watching the stars, it's a lovely starry night, the wind has dropped a little and the stars are out.

Hope everyone else is zzz-ing. I can hear a few gentle snores, heavy breathing, really!

Christine, so glad you still have a quiet corner, as your house sounds busy! I think a quiet corner is needed.

Carol, that christening sounded hectic! But fun seeing everyone together.

Polarbear, I'm glad hubs is back to more normal and you can look forward to your break together.

Jakki, I've left some frozen yoghurt in the freezer for you in case that yuk mouth is still bothering you, otherwise it will be there should you need it next time.

    Hugs to all xxxx

    Moomy
