Fed up with headaches, this one is a bit self inflicted because we had people for dinner but it was good at the time
Feeling sorry for myself, wrapped in a blanket with a cold and due to go to York for three days on monday. Been planned for weeks and I get my first cold of my treatment. (WHY NOW?)
Doctor said I can go if no temp, now I am paranoid and totally fed up.
Rose
Hi Rose, I hope you are well enough to go on Monday. Look after yourself really well this weekend and hopefully you will be. I went to York with my granddaughters in October. It's a lovely place to visit, we crammed in so much that we were all very tired by the time we returned home!! If you go you will have a wonderful time, and if you need medication there are doctors up there.
I know how you feel though at the moment I am on antibiotics for an infected arm. I have lymphoedema in it any way and had blood clots caused by my tumour. That was when I found out mine had returned. I went for a routine appointment at the Warfarin clinic and as soon as I mentioned that I had woken up with a sore, red neck and arm I was wished of for a scan. I can't complain, the treatment I received was first class but it was very unexpected.
It's never plain sailing for very long is it!!
Hope you are soon on the mend.
Love and hugs

Hi Rose and Maggie and welcome to the 24/7 room!
I popped in to discover quite a few of you curled up on the various sofas, so quietly made sure the faeries had topped up supplies and kept the wood burning stove going! There is fresh coffee and some yummy biscuits too!
Sunny here today but not sure if it will last, hope it does as I'm being 'granny' to sons dog and he hates wet walkies!
Gentle hugs to all xxx

Hi all,
Hope your headaches are easing Helen, glad you had a good night, how is your cold Rose? Hopefully you are snuggled up so you have a chance of recovering by Monday
Brought some hot chocolate and marshmallows to go with the biscuits, saw my sister this afternoon and been setting up my new sewing machine this evening, been borrowing a friend's since I started sewing again but now have bought one of my own. It's a good distraction on these cold winter days, but snuggled up in front of the fire now.
Have a good night all
Love n hugs

I'm an early bird this morning so lighting the fire and asking the faeries to make tea and coffee,
Waiting for the dawn and another day, also thinking about my sister travelling back to Somerset, she and hubby will be back in a month, they are my rock along with friends and of course this room
Hugs xxxx

Good morning all, hi sewiingbee
Here I am again rearranging my array of fleecy blankets for best effect, have a nice collection.
My cold has not gotten any worse just scratchy throat and the usual ropy feeling but no temperature thankfully. I have until this evening to cancel my booking but will likely be going. They have doctors in York not like I am going on a safari or anywhere else far flung for that matter.
Looks like it will be a nice sunrise here this morning clear skies and frosty. Time to make coffee and cheese crumpets, my morning routine. Then bake cheese scones and coconut cake for my train trip with my awesome sister they are her fave nibbles.
Hope everyone's day has something good in store.
Hugs to all xxx
Hi early birds, ooh it's lovely and warm in here, thanks for getting the log burner going Moomy.
I am just going to snuggle down in some of these fleeces and chill a bit today.
So pleased you are still going to be going to York Sewing bee. It will be a lovely treat for you.
I had a phone call yesterday cancelling my holiday in Scotland due to not enough people booking. They have offered me another one at the end of March. Better room different hotel, more expensive but I will only pay what I would have for what I booked. I've still got a holiday to look forward to 4 weeks later but.... dissapointed.
Oh well at least I am still going.
Have a good day today everyone.
Love and hugs

Oh it's great to see so many in here....
I've made some granola (very easy!) and have left yoghurt and fruit and orange juice for any who would like a healthy brekkers. Sunday breakfasts of course are late and leisurely in here. Plenty of fresh brewed coffee in the flask.....
Gentle hugs all round xxx
