Just passing through on my way to the bathroom, hugs to you & Mick Jasmin,i think of you both every day

So pleased you're having a good holiday Lynda, warm weather, plenty to eat 7 drink & a good book sound good to me,what are you reading,i'm almost finished the last Terry Pratchett

Have a wonderful weekend Moomy & daughter

Hugs to you Christine & i hope you're ok,same to you to Ian

No idea how she managed it but Medusa shut herself in our bedroom today & as we were both at work we have no idea how long she'd been in there but there was a nice warm spot on the bed where she'd been sleeping, she also had a little play with Pud this morning

Hope all have a nice weekend

    love & hugs

    xx

I'm getting through a book a day at the moment. Nothing heavy though, don't have the concentration for it. I'm reading a Diane chamberlain one at the moment.

As long as it was a warm spot not a wet spot that's ok! Luna likes to sleep on my bed during the day, and at night practically in the bed, curled up against my chest preferably with her front paws round my arm pulling my hand on to her chest. I'm sure she thinks I'm a kitten!

Has Pud accepted these little interlopers now?

Don't think i've read anything by her,i'll read anything that i like the sound of when i read the bit on the back of the book & when i want something i don't have concentrate too much on it's either the secret garden or wind in the willows

It was warm not wet Lynda but she did rush to the bathroom when i let her out,we've been very lucky with the girls & only had one accident & i think that was because they were playing & one of them didn't have time to get upstairs,Pud's ok if it's just him & Medusa,he seems to tolerate her but that could be because she's tiny & the other pair are proper biffers, they sleep in the bathroom but as soon as he gets up Vince lets the girls out,Polly goes downstairs to see if Pud has left any treats on the floor,Medusa comes straight to me demanding fuss & Willow has a wander round then has some fuss & Polly comes up when Vince comes out of the bathroom,Pud spends the day in the kitchen while the girls have the run of the house & when they go to bed he comes out to play & have his fuss,i had the front door open on Tuesday & all 3 looked at me as if to say you can go out if you like but it's too cold for me now,how quickly they went from semi feral to proper house cats, all fuss & purr but always with a look that says "if you get up that's my spot"

    xx

  • HSo sorry Mick is not too well, Jasmin, hope you can manage to make memories while you can.

Have been thinking of you all while we live through an amazing experience.

A speedy update now we have walked our socks off today, and had dinner, now relaxing before bed.

Daughter booked an 'Airbnb' in Berlin, a self catering flat, beautiful high ceilings, tastefully decorated. Worth looking at this organisation if you haven't come across it before.

We have met her donor, Friday evening, he is tall, dark haired and charming, a really nice, intelligent and caring man with excellent English (thank goodness as neither of us have good German) he had booked a table at an Italian restaurant having checked that we were ok with that, and we had a great evening.

He thanked me for my short German speech( thank you so much for sorting that out, Sandra!)

Then today he brought his 6 year old daughter with him and we spent a long morning 'doing' the sights, Brandenburg etc, it's interesting seeing these with the insight of one who has lived in Berlin for many years. He left us back at the flat so he could spend the rest of the day with Clara, his daughter, and we explored together on foot, managing to see the Holocaust memorial and get up the tower (like the GPO tower in London) just before dusk. Tomorrow morning he insisted he would collect and drive us to the airport (flight back is midday)

The other wonderful bit of news is that son's insurance claim will be paid in full, maybe the trouncing I gave AXA on Twitter made them take notice!

So I suspect we will all arrive at similar times tomorrow, most likely send son's dog loopy, he has been very quiet these last 2 days with hubs who has managed him really well.

Love and hugs to you all xxx

Ps, Carol, I still grin at the cat's escapades!

    Good morning,

Jasmin, sorry to hear Mick is not doing too well, feel for you.

Moomy. I am so pleased that it has gone well, that must be a bit of relief, but to meet such a remarkable man, well, where would we be without such people?

Also glad to hear, that things have worked for son, and that you will all be home tomorrow.

Wishing you all a safe journey home.

    Regards

How to cause chaos at a hotel bar........

Believe it or not I just watched one man do that.....by actually wanting to pay for a round of drinks! No wristband you see, not on all inclusive! The poor barman (boy) didn't have a clue how to charge him or how to work the till.

Said barman is now collecting empty glasses, I think the mature ladies behind the bar have banished him to a job more suitable to his ability!

Glad you are home Moomy, and also that son and son is law are home with their insurance sorted.

Oh my lord, that certainly gave both of us a good giggle Lynda, hope the weather is still being kind to you

Your trip sounds fantastic Moomy,so pleased you've both had a good time,i did Berlin several years ago & loved it,is the nudist area still there in the middle of the park

Sending you & Mick hugs Jasmin

Hi Christine & Ian,nice to see you popping in to say hello, hope you're both ok

Jakki my lovely, not seen you in ages, hope you're ok

Gillian, how are you & hubby, hope all is well

Mark, how are all your plans & renovations coming along

Kitty chaos still reigns in our house & i'm sure it will for many more years,we came home tonight & 3 black cats were sitting in the window waiting for us,not sure what had been going on in the bedroom or who to blame but the pillows on Vince's side of the bed were not how i left them this morning,Willow has a habit of rearranging their bed in the bath so i'm going with her doing the interior designing in the bedroom,Pud is now purring his head off at the side of Vince,he's had 2 encounters with Medusa today & both times they were fine together,in fact this morning they were playing

I've popped some biscuits in the tin

    Love & hugs

    xx

    Excuse me sister,

And how do you know about the nudist area in the middle of the park?!!!

We have had a lovely couple of days here, but there is a good chance of snow forecast, the snowdrops are in for a bit of a shock methinks!

I bought a new blend of coffee, please feel free to try it... only instant but supposed to be good
