Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • HGillian, almost there, lovely lady, hope you don't feel too exhausted, and that your hubby's mouth heals fast, is he having salty mouthwashes?

Christine and Lynda, good to see you posting, hope Lucas is doing ok now, Lynda?

Carol, glad you aren't taking on any more work, I know the money would have been good but you need to have that work-life balance correct, and you've the kitties to care for after all!

    Mark, those flights sound hairy!

My neck is still quite bad, had 2physio sessions and as yet no exercises.

I have son's dog with us, 2weeks while they are on proper honeymoon, he's been very good so far. He loves to stand on the back of the front sofa looking out of the of of the window checking all is ok! Otherwise he snuggles up close to me on the other sofa!

    Hugs to you all xxx

    Hi Moomy,

Your sons fog sounds exactly like mine, I have a reclinr with a wide back, he lays on there, usually with his legs either side on my shoulders, as they say talk about making themselves at home. Mind you they are soft and warm.

Hope you neck gets better soon,

    Regards

moomy- hairy?! - fun! - hmm.... I'm starting to think I've a slightly differnt view on what things are scarey since having 'had' and 'done' cancer! - certainly changed my outlook on life somewhat I guess!

A fairly nothing day here today; I may delve into the loft (putting it off for ages) - major junk clearing is underway soon, here, and simularly at William's, as now he's basically moved in, but yet to entirely move everything in, whilst lodger is still here, waiting to move into his new place...   all change here really I guess soon!

  • Thanks, Ian,

Yes, he's a Jack Russell rescue, they've been training him well as he doesn't pull on the lead nearly as much as 6 months ago, just as well as I'm not sure I could cope that well at present!

Mark, you must be happier at flying than me, that's all I can say! Yes I do fly when needed but not that good at it, nervy in take off and landing!

    Hugs xxx

Hello everyone, not posted much lately, hubby took turn for the worse and drs and nurses prepared us for the worst.  He cannot walk now and hospital bed is in the spare room, we are managing to get him up everyday and he sits in the lounge for a few hours, hardly eating, but managing a beer or glass of wine!!

Have  been reading posts and keeping up with everyone, so pleased you are to meet your daughters donor Moomy, it will be a very emotional meeting but a trip to remember.

well done Gillian, you will soon be ringinv the bell!  Dont forget to drink plent ,  it seems to help with tiredness.  Hope hubby is soon fully recovered.

The tales of the kitties always make me smile Carol so thank you for that.  I think your decision to turn the extra hours down is the right one, you appear to be busy enough.

Glad your trip went well Mark, even if there were a couple of anxious moments.

And hello of course to Christine and Lynda who are always there with a word of support, thank you.

love and hugs to all Jasmin xx,

  • Hello Jasmin,

Good to see your post though sad about your husband. It's good he can still enjoy a drink with you though....

Hope you are keeping ok in yourself?

    Afternoon all,

Sorry for my long absence. Being back at work 4 days now, and busy weekends since Christmas, have meant I have not spent as much time on my tablet.

Hope everyone is well, have only read back a page but it is fab to hear that you are so close to the end Gillian.

It's a very rainy and windy day so I am staying at home with the heating on whilst the boys battle the elements on the hockey pitch.

Those cats seem as mad as ever Carol! Christine and Lynda bet I've missed posts about up coming trips hope you both have some planned. We are skiing in Italy for half term so should be fun.

    Sending hugs to all

    Jakki xx

You are such an inspiring group of people. It is amazing how you all keep strong and focused.

Gillian I hope you are both doing well and soon get some peace.

Moomy sorry your neck is still sore, I do hope it soon heals. Enjoy your little canine friend.

Ian it is good to see you posting as well. Will you be at the champs meet?

Jasmin, I know how hard things are for you now. It is so good to hear that Mick can enjoy a drink. The doctors were always telling Ray to have a drink anytime he felt like it but he was never really one for drinking at home. Take care. Love and hugs xxx

Carol, you work hard enough I am pleased you are not taking on any more. Those cats give you enough work!

    Mark the trip sounded good!

    Love to all xx

Just had couple of hours with my goddaughter & her little people getting my nails done & sorting out half term, they're all using their Christmas vouchers so we have a busy end to the week, bowling Wednesday, out for a meat Thursday & Friday & cinema Saturday, thankfully they all want to go to different places so they all get time on their own with us

I'm also organising a coffee morning with one of the managers at work,we're doing it durring half term so hopefully several people will come, this one's for our local breast cancer charity called "fight like a girl" my army of bakers are at the ready,my poster writer has the details & i have a draw full of tombola prizes

Hope all are doing ok & enjoying the weekend

Kittens are sleeping at the moment but i'm sure all hell will break loose when they're let out,we had come to the conclusion that Medusa has the kitty form of ADHD,she's never still & even when she lays on your knee she can't keep still & doesn't stop for long

Now getting organised ready for Nanny duty this evening, hopefully it won't be a late one tonight as i'm not having a day off till Saturday

    Love & hugs to all

    Carol
