Jakk48, yes looks like we might get a bit of summer this week whe're forecast 22deg tomorrow/Wednesday, I admire you working with Autistic people, my son is 26 and was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome when he was 16, he now has a masters degree in physics,so know how important the right help and support is. He has enjoyed walking a lot in Derbyshire and we have had many happy times and enjoyed Bakewell tart and pudding and visiting places like Matlock and Chatsworth House, he came up to see the 2 Lancasters last year fly over Ladybower, was a site to be seen. xx

    Evening ladies,

Well the wine must have been good, its all gone. Anyway have disposed of the evidence, had a look through the cupboards, and found this leftover from Christmas. A bottle of mulled wine, have gently warmed some, the saucepans just below the simmer, it's lovely, and goes well with the cheese too. Thinks I'll pull up a chair, pine cones smell lovely, be quick though not much cheese left.

  • Oh dear! Got carried away I'm afraid, literally! Jolly good wine! Sorry about that! Mulled wine Eh? Any port in a storm! Enjoy! Goes well with the pine cones and dried up Christmas tree branches!

Sorry we left you to it when we all dozed off in front of the fire Mary.  Glad you enjoyed the Jolly good wine, (saw what you did there) and hope you helped yourself to cheese too.

I am off to bed now, as a bit achy since dozing off in the armchair.

    god bless

  • Oh my! It seems I missed some treats........

but have enjoyed the lovely warm sun this afternoon, and we used the bbq this evening for the first time. The embers are still going strong, and crumpets ready for toasting, the butter dish is nearby. Do help yourselves, the toasting forks are there too......

i got back from Manchester (daughter goes to the Christie hospital there) this afternoon, and there are no problems, so a nice glass of white wine went down well with burger, salad and potato salad.

    Hugs to you all xxx
