    Hi Christine,

hope you enjoy the choir. It would be my worst nightmare.

Yes, I have someone at the old place looking out for him, but it is around 15 miles, and across open country, hills and forest. So I doubt he will get back there.

I have someone who who knows people in Dalton posting on Facebook and I've put something on street life. But I'm worried because I am close to fields so if he has gone that way no one will see him.

    Good luck Jakki.

  • Hi alll,

just a quick post......I've been concerned about Lucas too, Lynda, really hope he finds his way back to you......

Christine, singing is good exercise and a real challenge, I know cos it's something I do!

    Hoping everyone else is ok.......

    hugs to you all xxx

Yes it is good exercise and I find I concentrate fully on the singing for an hour or so and think of nothing else. It is very therapeutic. Just hope it is not too much of a challenge for others to listen to me LOL.

I've been thinking about you & Lucas all day Lynda & hopeing to find he'd returned home,i do hope he's soon back with you

Ooh Christine i love to sing but not sure i could join a choir,if there's music playing i'll join in & i have been known to make my own words up if i'm not sure what they are

Good luck tomorrow Jakki, hope the weather's nice for you

Had a little chuckle Jasmin at the thought of Mick going round running random people over then remembered how painful it is as a woman reversed into me once in a queue in costa

We've had a very interesting afternoon/evening here, went to see one of the little people in a show this afternoon which was lovely, bet you can't guess who the giggling fairy that should have been asleep belonged to!! we then took her to tea,boy can that girl eat, from the minute she got to us all we heared was Aunty Carol what did you think to it,will you come again, this is nice isn't it but her best question was who did you like best in the play, well i had to say her didn't i,she smiled looked at Vince & said, what are we having for pudding

This morning i said that Polly needs to come out of the bathroom for a while & start walking about more & Vince decided that as they haven't seen her for a week the twins should come in & have tea with her,Pud was in the kitchen moaning because we wouldn't let him out,Polly spent the entire time growling & hissing at the kittens when they went near her & they spent most of the time chasing each other up & down stairs & swinging on the stair curtain, peace now reigns again

The weather here has been flipping grim again today, fingers crossed it's better tomorrow

Special hugs to all that need them

    Love & hugs to all

  • Afternoon, everyone,

sorry I haven't been around but have read....

Jakki, I trust you did yourself justice and aren't suffering too much.

Lynda, any news about Lucas? I know cats can be very independent but they do need their humans really, hope he finds his way back to you very soon.

Gillian, hope this round of chemo is treating you well and you feel ok...

Christine, I am sure that if you feel a lack of confidence, 'goldfishing' will be acceptable! ( just opening and closing your mouth in the right places!) hope you're enjoying it though!

Carol, by now I expect you'll be getting baleful looks, hope Medusa behaved!

I have been burning the candle at both ends, just got very very sleepy! Yes, daughter has been here briefly, she does wear us out as her candle burns at night, and then we still have to get up at 'normal' times! The sofa got slept on this afternoon.......

Big hugs to you all xxx

ps, Jasmin, have you thought about industrial 'toe-teckters' to protect those feet? Hope it hasnt put himself off though.....

    Hi all,

Moomy, you must rest too! You know you will be no good to anyone if you burn yourself out.

    Jakki, hope it went well.

Still no sign of Lucas. Mum and I went for a walk around the estate behind me today but no sign of him there. Also still no internet except with my 4G which is costing me a fortune. Openreach are coming out again Friday.

birthday cake in the kitchen.....walnut cake(warning this contains nuts!).

Thanks for the cake Lynda. To reassure you a bit about Lucas; my sister looked after a friend's cat whilst they were away and it went missing for a whole week before turning up right as rain! They are funny creatures. Hope your internet gets sorted soon.

My Aqualathon was really good fun, a bit wet and windy but, as I was straight out of the pool into the run, it wasn't a big deal. I was quicker than I thought I would be and it was a lovely morning. The club did really well with lots of the kids getting prizes. Adults took First Lady and second male. I held the bottom up but am getting quicker week by week.

Hope everyone is well, I have just done running club exhausted now, luckily the lads on cooking duty tonight!

    Love to all

    Jakki xx

Jakki; I don't know where you get your energy from but wish I had half as much as you seem too!

OH... do hope Lucus re-appears soon, and is well...

Hope everyone else Is OK, especially Gillian, hope your chemo is not too terrible...

A fairly boozy weekend here; but even I've begun to face reality, and try to limit myself to the level of beer  consumption per  night, that I know doesn't leave me with additive affects on top of my remaining chemo/Radiation fatigue... - about 5 pints is OK, much more and I tend to suffer in a way I'm just not used too!  - Bet such restrained sensible attitude will vanish from Thursday on though, when I'm at my Dad's....

Yet again I tried to sneak out one night with William, in my very short pinky/red/orangey linen dress, but again William noticed,, and prevented me from doing so! - yeh, it probably really is a bit on the short side for going out to the pub in! - even with the leggins underneath it... managed to wreck a pair of holdup stockings, so when I'm back from my Dad, I'll have to hunt about for some new stockings, they were quite old actualy and I htink they only came from Tesco's...

I think my life is definatly going into a bit of a 'return to normal' post-treatment phase, even if err, what with one thing and another its not that much like the 'normal' that existed before. - Really looking forward to getting more of my endocrine things sorted, and balanced a bit more, and then hitting the loosing weight and getting fit thing, in the new year when I return from Sweden; Should be starting yoga and palatas, run by Maggi's, some time after Christmas (hopeing to help with my loss of joint fluidity on the shoulders, due to radiation), and, well, getting fitter and thinner again! But, for now... every day, day to day stuff is fine I think, really, head gradualy working better too, and I think concentration slowely returning a bit too.

Not done a great deal  over the past few days, cept for the pub most evenings, and William and I went to the pub with a friend of mine last night along too... I'm off ten pin bowling tomorrow night, then off to my Dad's Thursday...

OO... Was out this morning to the surgery, to drop in a repeat prescription; and there were so many fallen leaves down! - actually I think someone may have swept them up into piles... - Well, I beat the school kids to them, and kicked my way through them all! - yeh... me and growing up isn't ever going to work out I think!

Hope all are well this evening; definately  starting to feel cooler here now...

Well done Jakki, you are amazing,i wish i had half as much energy as you do

Pleased you had a good weekend Mark, can't remember the last time i went out with mates & had a drink, think i must be turning into a boring old biddy

At the moment it's chaos here,we have all the cats in the house,as you know Polly has been ill,she is now recovered,i think she rather likes being indoors, she has a bit of a limp but it doesn't stop her getting up on the settee with Vince,Medusa has been to the vet to be spayed & had to come in the night befor & for a couple of nights after, well we couldn't leave Willow out on her own could we,the vet told us Medusa would be sleepy when we got her home,ha,she was running round like a lunatic after she'd eaten, can't believe such small cats can make so much noise as they run up & down stairs after each other,Ruby spends a lot of time outside our front door crying at the minute,i think she's missing her playmates & the extra meals she's been having

Weather here is horrible tonight, very windy,i hate the wind, nothing to see but it can cause so much damage

Hope all are well as can be be

    Love & hugs

    xx
