Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Evening all,
What a day today. We've had sun, rain, wind, snow, sleet and some thunder thrown in for good measure!! Only elements missing were lightning and heat, but being in Glasgow, we don't get much of that at any time of year:( LOL
Hubby and I took our 3 year old grandson to his "big nursery" (our wee guy's words) to get him used to it. Tears and snot we got from him (his Mummy thinks he just plays up to us!!) when we took him into his new class. He has been there everyday this week so that it's not strange for him. On going to collect him, he didn't want to leave...
As for pets, we only have fish (cold water ones). So no tales (oops, pardon the pun) to tell about their lives and antics!!!

Sandra; Wow! some 'interesting' weather happening! - I recall during my A-levels our geography teacher explaining just how, it is true; the Brits talk about the weather all the time; quite rightly so, as being an island, we get an aweful lot of weather and often, like that, all in less than 24 hour cycles!- Oddest one I ever had was cycling, down a road, when I could still see, and half way down the road, changing from being dry, to the 'edge' of where it was raining! - ultimately through the other side of the rain, and into sunshine and dry; looking back to see a really distinct 'area' of just where the rain cloud was raining down...
Very dull evening here so far... I think I've been feeling a bit washed out today, for no ovvious reason... spent way too long in way too hot a shower again, as useual, and then took far too long to decide what to wear! - trying to ensure I preserve clean clothes I might want to take away with me, Thursday, as I doubt Ill be doing much laundry between now and then...
Must do a few more useful things tonight though, like putting away more of the laundry I washed earlier, and moving about those blouses I leave to dry on hangers, (don't cope too well in the tumble dryer)...
Looking at my wardrobe earlier, I guess I still need to go out and buy some more hangers, I do seem to have bought an aweful lot of new clothes the last few months, and, well, all during chemo and radiotherapy too I guess...
Hope all are OK, and our felines all recover and return home!
Just caught a bit of crazy waves in the north west on the news on tv this evening, the north west have had it rough! Hope you don't get floods, Sandra! Son was at the RSAMD in Glasgow, lived in a flat in Merchant city after his first year, wonderful city!
hugs to all xxx

Evening All
it has been really cold today, first time I have needed the heating all evening. We did have sunshine today though and I dried washing outside. No lightening but the flipping fireworks again!!
Thanks for all who,ask about me I have been down for a few days but feeling better and more positive again now and caught up on all my outstanding paperwork today and made a long overdue dental appointment. Have been accepted by our local Hospice as a volunteer Receptionist so that will give me something different to focus on. Also joined the choir! Under duress as I really am not a singer!.
Jasmin so p,eased you are getting out hope you don't get your toes run over too much!
Lynda I do hope your cat soon returns home. Carol so sorry your kitty's are costing you so much xxx Your little girl sounds super.
Love and hugs to all xxxxx
Hi Christine,
sorry you haven't been feeling too bright recently but hopefully your new projects will give you something else to think about. My neighbour who lost her husband 2 years ago joined a choir and does volunteer work, she enjoys it as it gets her out and about meeting different people. Hope they both go well for you. Mick also ran over the young chap who was operating the lift, so we both limped out of the lift together!! Xxx
We have had sunshine, rain and very windy in Berkshire today xx
Moomy,
Hopefully no floods here, thankfully not in a flood plain...
We live around 5 miles from the Merchant City area. Like many large cities, it has its good and bad places, although where we live has very little in the way of bother. We did once think about emigrating to Australia, around 30 years ago. I often wonder how our lives would have panned out if we had.
Mark, yes an "interesting day" indeed!! I've seem our side of the street wet and the other side dry too...weird.

Great to hear from you Christine and glad you are feeling more positive. The volunteer job sounds brilliant, I imagine you will be good at that. Ha, made me lol that you joined the choir even though you are not a singer. I pictured the hallelujah scene from Mr Bean (google it if you haven't seen it, you will laugh).
Electric scooter mayhem Jasmin, great that you are getting out and about. My nephews love riding with Grandad on his. To be fair I also fear for my toes.
Lynda, hope the wanderer returns soon, bet it is exploring!
Got my brother and his lot round today then Aqualathon tomorrow-eek, still finding the swim hard!
love Jakki xxxx
Hi,
no, I'm afraid not.
ive just posted something on street life, and asked a friend who has local friends to post something an Facebook too.
very worried about him now as the weather is awful again.
Thanks Jakki I checked out Mr Bean!!
Hope I wont be that bad but can't be sure. They are a lovely lot of people in the choir just tell me to mime if I am not sure, they don't want me to give up so hopefully I am not that bad. We are doing Christmas carols from next week so maybe my enthusiasm will make up for my other failings.
Lynda I am so sorry about your cat. I presume you have checked to see if he has run back to his old home. Let's hope someone has taken him in and he will return soon.
Jakki very best of luck with your latest venture- take care.
the weather is a bit grim but at least now I am more content to be in my home, warm and dry. Xxxx
love and hugs to all.
