Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Oh Carol, really hope Polly is better after a good rest, poor little thing, she is indeed 'our room's cat'.

I think everyone's right, Jakki, you've too much energy! But I know you were very fit and active beforehand, so for you it's more a return to your normal!

Happy Birthday, Mark, have a great day!

Gillian, I hope that transfusion has helped and you feel more yourself today

Big hugs to you all from a less sleepy moomy xxx

ps, slept on the sofa last evening, thought I'd never sleep at night but got a full 8 hours!

    Morning all

Thank you all so much for your good wishes for Polly, she really is the rooms cat & you have all laughed, smiled & sighed at her antics, she is much improved this morning & has had a drink,a wee & has been licking the gravy off the meat we gave her, she's still rather sleepy & a bit wobbly but there's a deffinate improvement in her,i've spoken to our vet & booked her in for a quick once over in the morning.we kept Polly & pud in seperate rooms & he wasn't happy being in the kitchen last night, Polly's in the bathroom curled up near the radiator

Hope all are feeling ok today & the weather is nice for you,the sun is shining here

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

  • Carol, hope that check up at the vets reveals nothing too bad, other than one exhausted Polly.

I think by the sounds of things, you did sterling work yesterday, taking your Dad to and from the hospital too, hope your groin strain has eased otherwise you'll be feeling it today!

Hugs and a big gentle stroke for Polly

    hugs to all xxx

To be honest Moomy i'm shattered today so i looked at the housework & thought sod it,it can wait,my leg does ache today, don't think the driving did it any good but they're my parents,if i can't help them who can i help,i did manage to have a chat with mum to see if she really understands it won't go away this time & they seem to know what's going on,i'm hopeing Polly's just shattered,i've finger fed her some mashed up cat meat, she only had a little bit but at least she had something & she doesn't seem quit as wobbly now,i will give her your stroke next time i check up on her

Helen, did you get your daughter home yet or is she still stranded

I've had a thought Mark about your skirt, you could always do what the Victorians did & sew pennies in the hem to hold it down when it's windy

sister snail - Great idea re the sewing coins into the skirt-hem! - I think a two pence piece oughta work as the modern equivelent of an old penny! - though... yep, fairly sure I've a tub somewhere full of old victorian big penny coins!
wish I could help with your housework! - mind, I've only managed to   clean the kitchen really today, cleared drainer, then worktops, cleaned round,  then did a duck-egg and bacon and cheese omelette for well, brunch by the time I got round to eating after morning coffee...

Just mustered up energy for sweeping and mopping through the utility room and kitchen, hopefully its just me being unfit, but, I was almost out of breath doing that! - Trying to learn how to do housework with a sense of dignity whilst wearing a skirt too... probably not the sort of length to wear really for housework, though I think I figured out how to do it, especially for the kneeling down to dustpan and brush up the sweepings!

had gorgeous sunshine here, first thing, didn't need any leggings on until a bit later in the day, when the sun vanished round the building.

Oo... glad Poly seems to be on the mend!

Hope everyones doing as well as possible today, don't feel like I've achieved much so far today, but already feel I'm almost ready for a sleep! - Mind, half tempted to phone my friend, see if he wants to go to the pub tonight, or tomorrow...

Thanks, Carol; I'll almost certainly forget your name though... so don't be supprised If I revert back to your tag/handle/nic name! - Not sure if I can still blame my chemo-brain for  my poor memory... but thats my excuss and I'm sticking to it!

Aww... looking after the poor kitty sounds like a productive day to me! - my sleep is useually/often rubbish, if not abscent, but I've slept the past few weeks, which is good; My record, was, during chemo, turning up for an infeusion, on two occasions having gone over 80 hours each time, before, without sleep! Not the most fun I'd ever had I believe...

Off to make my stir fry now I think; may get myself some ingredients in tomorrow, for a casserole/stew, not really got to do any proper winter cooking yet this year, so its probably about time!

Hope all are OK (human and feline)

    That's great news Helen.

Carol, hope Polly is getting better now. We are all worried with you.

my two are driving me up the wall being kept in. So Dad has fitted the cat flap and I'm going to let them out tomorrow.

Despite the horrid weather my outhouse is taking shape. There is now a door on one end, half of the wood cladding is also on that end. But Dad did spend most of the day trying to adjust the door so that it fits and will shut. It is ok now.....as long as I give it a good strong shove.

im also having internet problems with the new connection. The engineer came out today, but couldn't fix it as he needed a cherry picker to get to the top of the telephone pole. So he's booking another appointment. Meantime I'm not on here as much as usual.

So pleased to hear that Helen, you must have been so worried about her

Bet you'll all be pleased when your pair go outside tomorrow Lynda,Polly seems a bit better but is still very wobbly & sleepy, she's had some tuna tonight & she got out of her bed to eat it,she didn't have much but at least she did it herself instead of me feeding her, hope you soon get your internet sorted, i don't have a problem with that but we get shocking phone signal here sometimes & everytime vodafone ask how they can improve the service we both say sort your signal out

I've just been out with Vince to a steampunk meeting,i only went because people were bringing in war memorabilia to talk about, they're having a Christmas party at the next gathering & one of the chaps ask if i'd make a cake as he liked the one i made for my stall earlier in the year, wish i'd stayed at home now,i hate baking

I'm not good with names either Mark but for some reason i remember the names of people i speak to on here better than those in the real world, mind you the friends i've made on here are a lot better than some i have in the real world so that might why

    Love & hugs to all

    xx
