I second that. one year and 2400 posts. Amazing.

We all slept well thanks. The cats are driving me mad tonight. As they are not allowed out they have far too much energy and are chasing one another round all over the place.

    OO... an anniversary!

Bit late for me to eat cake now... but I've just put kettle on for making some more camomile or peppermint or fennel tea....

Talking of anniversarys, almost my birthday coming up, so nearly a year anniversary  for me, since I  discovered a large lump under my left armpit... - gosh, its been quite a year since then, but one  I'd rather not repeat in so many ways! - Lifes changed so much, and I didn't even seem to be aware totally of much of it... Not all doom and gloom though... so many ... Exciteing things to come I think in my life, now... not least getting married  next year, and finally William and I living together... Plus lots more time and oppertunity as I get fit again, to spend time with Karin, both here I hope, and in Sweden... - And William and I hoping to explore overseas too, with trips away, which we never got round to doing before... - Plus maybe a move of house here too, at some point...

Talking of which; Linda; hope the cats are quieting down! Hopefully they'll soon be used to the place, and outside again once more settled in... - I hope you've managed to find all the essential things you moved with! (I think I lived off takeaways for about a fortnight when I moved here, until I got the kitchen sorted!)

Must be close to bed time, I guess, even for me, I can't justify too many more cups of tea, and if I stay up too late, I inevitably find something I absolutely 'have' to buy on EBay, and I shoudl so  start putting a break on my shopping habbits at the moment!

Hope all are OK, and probably safely and warmly tucked up in bed.

  • Wow, a year!

Thank you for the cake, a lovely idea, Christine!

Lynda, hope your cats aren't driving you nuts, but you're right, the best way to ensure they settle in their new home is to keep them in for a bit! Glad you slept well in the new 'pad'

Mark, looking back is ok as long as you see it in a proper, appropriate light, looking forward to getting married is even better.

Carol, your kittens sound as if they are growing up into cats now.....hope your groin strain problems are easing....

Jakki, good to see you popping in....

It was good to see Christine again yesterday, we had a thought provoking day at Macmillan Towers!

    Hugs to all xxx

    Morning all

Hope the cats have calmed down a bit now Lynda,at least i we only have one indoors so when he decides to have a funny turn it's not too bad,at the minute he's playing with a fluffy ball that hangs on the kitchen door handle

My baby girls are getting more adventurous by the day but they still come home at meal times,as i knew he would Vince had to go out & make sure Polly & Willow had come home & as i said they would they had, hopefully Medusa had left them something to eat, apparently there were 4 at the breakfast bowl this morning & even though Polly gave her a whack Ruby still pushed her way in

Groin is starting to feel much easier now but still tender, head is still tender so i'm having a lazy day today & resting both, nice easy vegetable pasta bake & gammon for tea today & i'm going to catch up on some reading & knitting, might even do the same again tomorrow

Mark how can you drink camomile tea,it's the worst thing i've ever tried, can't beat a proper brew, kettle's on if anybody fancies a cuppa

The cake looked lovely Christine,so pleased you & Moomy had a good time yesterday

Special snail hugs to all that need them

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

sister snail - my thoughts entirely!; until I underwent chemo... my sense of taste, and smell has so utterly changed!  (OK, so I think quitting smoking may have altered it too probably). I still drink proper strong Indian black tea, during the day (useually in afternoon after  my pot of morning coffee), but now also like some of the herbal teas. But my sense of taste/smell still keeps changing, so soemtimes I have to switch herbal teas... - Recently been drinking a lot of the carabien  peppermint, and fennel tea,  and, occasionally the camomile.... - a few months or more back I drank tons of green tea, and jasmine, but I've entirely lost the ability now to taste them, which is kind of odd....

moomy- I c can't always look back properly, as I've lost so much memory of my 'past'. and now I have no concept of time, its even more difficult; It doesn't seem to me any time since I started chemo, and finishing it, could be days ago, or months ago, or years ago... makes planning forward tricky too; I've no idea if I'm ment to be in mad panic mode yet, preparing for Christmas, and my flying away on teh 23rd or not... just can't get a grip on more  than a day or two either side of 'now'... which is most odd and annoying!

Another rubbish night, didn't sleep again. that's two days on a row not sleeping... so messes up my drugs, and I just get blanked by the hospital when I try ask them how I'm ment to dose drugs that are 'take first thing on waking', when I'm in a period of 40 50 or more hours, non sleep, they just don't seem to get it...

had  my pot of strong tea for breakfast, and just had scrambled duck eggs, and I think I'll shower now, to try and wake up, then I've some new presents arrived, i bought! leggings... so I can try them on...

Hopefully the shower will wake me enough so I can do somethign vaguely useful today....

Hope everyone else is OK, and slept better than I did last night!

I quite like peppermint tea,i used to try the odd fruit tea where i used to work but i object to buying a box full of all the same flavour to find i don't like them, not had my coffee yet today but i have had several cups of tea,i've still not done anything constructive & apart from cooking tea i don't think i'll bother now,too late in the day to start doing anything now

    Love & hugs

    xx

  • I've put some Lasagne in the fridge, ( bit well regarded for my lasagne in the family!) if you take off what you want, plate it , pop it into the microwave for a minute or so.....we enjoyed some last night, followed by a slice of Parkin from daughter's local baker, there's some in the kitchen here too, enjoy.....

    Hugs to you all xxx
